Northgate Animal Hospital truly goes above and beyond for both their patients and their owners.
I have been a client at NAH for several years. At one point, I switched to another veterinary office because I thought it would be more convenient. Unfortunately, it turned out to be much harder to get appointments, and communication was lacking.
On July 10, 2026, I stopped by the other veterinary office in person because my younger dog needed to be neutered and my older dog desperately needed a dental cleaning. I was told they couldn't get either of my dogs in until sometime after August, and they also said they had never received the voicemail I had left. I had been patient and understanding because I know veterinary offices stay busy, but I couldn't keep putting off the care my boys needed any longer.
As soon as I walked out of their office on July 10, I called Northgate Animal Hospital. Sammi answered the phone, immediately added my newest addition to my account, and helped me schedule both my younger dog's neuter and my older dog's dental cleaning. To my surprise, they had availability on July 15, 2026—just five days later. I was honestly shocked at how quickly they were able to get both of my boys in.
Another thing I appreciated was Northgate's approach to pre-anesthetic blood work. The other clinic required it before surgery, while Northgate explained that it was optional for healthy dogs under seven years old. Since my boys are only 4 and 2, I appreciated having the option to decide what was best for them. It saved me money while still allowing me to make an informed decision about their care, and I never felt pressured one way or the other.
I've never had a bad experience at Northgate Animal Hospital, and this visit reminded me exactly why they've earned my trust.
I'd especially like to thank Sammi and Dr. Rock for taking such wonderful care of my boys. During a follow-up phone call before their procedure, Sammi called to go over a few questions, and I shared with her how emotional I was about dropping both of my boys off, even though I knew they would be in good hands. Around 11:00 a.m. on July 15, Dr. Rock personally called to let me know both procedures had gone well, my older dog's dental cleaning cleaned up beautifully, my younger dog's neuter was successful, and both boys were recovering comfortably. He even let me know that Jagger was wearing the surgical stocking I had brought for him. That personal phone call meant more to me than he probably realizes. Whether Sammi mentioned our conversation to him or he simply knew how much that update would mean, taking the time to call me personally gave me so much peace of mind and showed just how much the team genuinely cares about both their patients and their owners.
I had also asked if they could clean and pluck both of my dogs' ears while they were under anesthesia. Not only did they take care of that, but they also gave both of them a complimentary nail trim. It's those little extra touches that truly show the level of care and compassion they provide.
The entire team at Northgate Animal Hospital is exceptional. Their kindness, communication, transparency, and genuine love for animals are evident in everything they do. Best of all, both of my boys are doing great after their procedures. I couldn't be happier with the care they received or the quality of Dr. Rock's work. Thank you, Dr. Rock, Sammi, and the entire Northgate Animal Hospital team for taking such incredible care of my boys. You didn't just take care of my dogs—you took care of me, too. I appreciate you all more than words can express, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your office to anyone looking for a veterinary team that treats your pets like family.
